The process of perception is, first one perceives the object through sense organs, then it tries to know the form of the object, then the ego makes its judgement by labeling the object. Doing Sanyam or concentrating on the whole process of perception, one can get victory over sense organs.

Victory over sense organs means the mind does not identify with everything that is perceived through the sense organs which creates a sense of just being a space and letting the higher self work through the personality. This is a sense of being a non-doer which leads to going beyond one's basic qualities one is born with.
